Privacy Policy

Mastey.com is a unique business model designed to protect small businesses. A fair portion of the sales made on this website are shared among our business partners including independent hair and skin salons, day spas, licensed cosmetologists, professional salon distributors, salon educators, and salon service contractors among other business partners.

As the Mastey family has four generations in the professional hair and skin care industry, we believe in the original spirit of entrepreneurship, artistic talent, individuality, opportunity and freedom of association. We ask that whether you purchase Mastey or any other hair and care products, that you only buy them from your local independent salon and not from any drug store, department store or supermarket.

Conglomerated beauty product manufacturers and their distributors and retail stores that sell diverted professional hair care unfairly compete against your neighborhood salon and stylists by offering lopsided pricing schemes and turning a blind eye to the diversion of professional products to mass retailers. Mastey.com is designed to give dedicated artisans a competitive edge against such unfair business practices.

When you make a purchase on this website based on your zip code, your coupon or gift card code, or by the settings you personally select, our site will automatically apportion the revenues among the small business owners and other dedicated professionals who have referred you to our site. We believe this business model is one of the most important ways to help protect entrepreneurship and the small, local salon and stylist from corporate dominance.

We will not provide your personally identifiable information to unrelated third parties for their use in marketing their products or services to you without your consent. However, in the interest of fairness to the independent salons, stylists, and other contractors involved in this business model, these partners may be able to view your purchase history. Your salon or stylist may be able to send emails to you offering in-salon services or promotion using our professionals interface. But in no case will they be able to view your personal information. Your full name, address, credit card, email adress and other personal information will be blocked from view.

When you provide us with information on the mastey.com (the "Site"), we respect your privacy. Your visit to the Site is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. Please note that this Privacy Policy governs only information provided to mastey.com and communications from mastey.com. It does not govern any other information or communications that may reference Mastey such as communications from salons, distributors, professional cosmetologists, affiliates, brick and mortar stores or third parties. This Privacy Policy was last updated July 17, 2005.
